The National Federation of State High School Associations has released its rule changes for the 2013 Fall field hockey season. Highlights include:

  • 2-minute suspensions for green cards
  • A player who breaks early on a penalty corner must go to the center-line
  • Elimination of penalty goals (this used to be possible on a penalty stroke)
  • Visible/scoreboard clocks display official time and are required to run to zero
