Evaluations (Coaches > Umpires; Umpires > Coaches)
Seemingly every year someone or some group asks or requires that field hockey coaches evaluate umpires. Umpires often scoff at this idea saying that coaches should be evaluating their players and because most coaches aren't trained in conducting umpire evaluations, and, in many areas, coaches do not have to pass a national rules examination. Rather than discuss the merits of the arguments, let's just build a list of items that should be considered for inclusion on one nationwide evaluation form.
