NCAA Clarifications (1-10)
Each year the NCAA hockey rules committee publishes modifications to the Rules of Hockey. During the season, questions arise requiring clarifications to those modifications or how unmodified aspects of the Rules of Hockey should be considered in the context of the NCAA's modifications. These clarifications are written by Steve Horgan, rules interpreter for USA Field Hockey and the NCAA.

FIH Updates Indoor and Outdoor Briefings
This article contains links to the Umpire Manager's 2008 Outdoor and Indoor Briefings, and the 2007/8 Rules of Hockey Briefing and Guidance produced by the FIH Umpiring Committee in consultation with the Hockey Rules Board. The briefings clarify an issue on penalty corners that was miscommunicated in the USA throughout 2007. [ED: The issue was communicated correctly on UmpireHockey.com as recently as July 10, 2007 and October 16, 2007 and in articles dating back to 2005.]

USA Field Hockey Adopts Indoor Rule Trials
USA Field Hockey, in an email dated December 11, 2007 -- apparently only sent to coaches and indoor event organizers -- announced that two experimental rules put forward by the Hockey Rules Board, will be used in the USA.

Hockey Rules Update (USA|NJ|High School)
An up-to-the-minute information session on the rules and interpretations that will govern play during the fall field hockey season -- designed specifically for high school players -- will be held in New Jersey's central region so it is as easy as possible for the highest number of participants in New Jersey's field hockey community to attend (high school teams, club teams, parents, coaches, etc.).
