The self pass option and indirect circle entry requirement is coming to high school field hockey. Are you ready?

Do you understand the changes to the rules governing free hits, side-ins, long hits, and center-passes? Do you understand the differences between those rules in the Rules of Hockey and the NFHS rules?

In these helpful videos, UmpireHockey.com publisher Cris Maloney discusses the self pass option and indirect circle entry requirements that will part of the NFHS rules in the 2010/11 season.

UPDATE: This rule has changed at all levels since the time that this video was made. The restarter, if he/she decides to dribble the ball instead of passing to a teammate, no longer needs to start with two actions (no separation is needed). Further, an immediate lift is also an option as the first action.
